La ville de Clermont-Ferrand présente l’Electric Palace
Une production des étudiants du Master « Management des Activités Culturelles et Audiovisuelles » de l’Université d’Auvergne.

Installé dans un Magic Mirror (chapiteau chaleureux en bois et en toile) implanté derrière l’ancienne gare routière, l’Electric Palace sera le lieu d’accueil privilégié des festivaliers et des Clermontois pendant les 9 jours du Festival International du Court Métrage.

Ouvert en continu dès 10h00 du matin (du samedi 30 janvier au samedi 6 février 2010 – ouverture exceptionnelle le 29 janvier à 23h), l’Electric Palace sera en accès libre et gratuit pour tous. A la fois bar/brasserie et lieu d’animations, l’Electric Palace proposera, aussi bien petits-déjeuners que repas chauds et snacking de qualité.

Dans une ambiance décalée inspirée de l’univers forain des débuts du cinéma, l’Electric Palace se propose de réchauffer festivaliers et Clermontois. De la nuit de la pleine lune (samedi 30 janvier) au bal des vampires (samedi 6 février), l’Electric Palace proposera tous les soirs à partir de 22h, les chroniques délirantes de Jean Philippe N (le plus grand critique de cinéma de Transyldavie), des concerts (Ambiance Pop / Electro / Balkan / Manouche) suivi des mix des DJ les plus célèbres des Carpates.

The City of Clermont-Ferrand presents an event organised by the students of the recently created master of the Université d’Auvergne: “Management of Cultural and Audiovisual Activities”

During the International Short Film Festival, the Electric Palace (a Magic Mirror tent, sort of amazing movable theatre) settled behind the Maison de la Culture will host the festival-goers from Saturday 30 January to Saturday 6 February (and also, exceptionally, on Friday 29 January from 11 p.m). Admission will be free for everyone from 10 a.m up to 2 a.m.
The Electric Palace will be both a restaurant (breakfast, hot ready-made meals and high quality snacking) and the perfect place to party at night. In an offbeat atmosphere inspired by the freak shows of the early XXth century and the beginnings of the cinema, The Electric Palace will aim at warming the festival-goers and the inhabitants of Clermont-Ferrand.

From the Full Moon Night (on Saturday 30 January) up to the Vampires’ Ball (on Saturday 6 February), The Electric Palace will present (every night at 10 p.m) the delirious chronicles of Jean-Philippe Nosferatu (the greatest cinema critic of Transyldavia), followed by gigs (pop / electro / Balkan and Gipsy music) and mixes of the most famous DJs of Transyldavia.
